Decades of expertise and love for the dance are shared in the
classes she teaches. Instruction begins with a foundation of
good technique: isolations, hand and arm movements, hip
articulations, shimmies, undulations, steps, turns and
interesting combinations. As students' skills develop and
familiarity with the many musical moods increases, finger
cymbals, veil dancing, and original choreographies are
introduced. Choreographies are varied and fun: graceful veil
dancing, spirited karsilema, Egyptian cabaret, and dancing
with scarves, sword, and cane.
